Seamless surfaces for modern living
High-performance microcement for interiors
Architectural continuity
With no grout lines or visual breaks, microcement creates cohesive spaces defined by material consistency and subtle movement. The result is a refined interior that feels calm, resolved and intentionally designed..
High-performance System
Applied as a multi-layer performance system, our microcement is crack-resistant, hard-wearing and designed for daily interior use. Suitable for high-traffic living areas, kitchens and commercial environments, it delivers long-term durability without compromising on aesthetics.
Certified installation
Our microcement is installed exclusively by Certified Applicators within The Finish network. Every project is backed by technical expertise and a 10-year performance warranty.

Microcement interiors FAQs
-
Yes. Our microcement brands are specifically designed for interior floors in homes and commercial spaces.
-
Microcement delivers a refined cement-based aesthetic, often compared to polished or raw concrete. However, unlike poured concrete slabs, it is a thin, hand-applied system that incorporates integrated pigments and finishing techniques to create controlled tonal variation and subtle movement.
Rather than the structural mass and aggregate exposure of traditional concrete, microcement offers a smoother, more curated surface -available in a wide range of colours and finishes to suit contemporary interiors.
-
While both surfaces share a cement-based aesthetic, microcement and concrete floors are fundamentally different systems.
Concrete is a structural material poured in thick slabs, typically 80–100mm or more. It forms part of the building’s structure and relies on reinforcement, curing time and control joints to manage movement and cracking.
Microcement, by contrast, is a thin, multi-layer surface system applied at approximately 2–3mm over an existing substrate. It is non-structural and designed as a finished surface rather than a building element. Because it is hand-applied and pigmented, it offers greater control over colour, texture and tonal variation.
In interior settings, microcement provides the refined look of concrete without the bulk, weight or extensive build-up - making it particularly suited to renovations and projects where floor height and continuity matter.
-
In many cases, yes. Microcement can be applied over properly prepared substrates including concrete, screed and some existing surfaces, provided they meet structural and moisture requirements.
-
Microcement performs similarly to other cement-based surfaces. It can be installed over underfloor heating systems when specified correctly, making it suitable for modern interior builds.
-
Our microcement is installed as a flexible, multi-layer system designed to resist cracking. Proper substrate preparation and certified installation are essential to long-term performance.
-
Microcement is typically applied at approximately 2–3mm total thickness, making it ideal for renovations where floor build-up needs to be minimal.
