1. Overview
This website is operated by The Finish (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing this website, purchasing products, or engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These Terms apply to all users, including customers, applicators, specifiers, and website visitors.
2. Products & Services
We supply architectural finishes including (but not limited to) microcement systems, Venetian plaster, and decorative and exterior coatings. We also provide training programmes, technical support, and access to certified applicator networks. All products and systems must be used strictly in accordance with our technical guidelines.
3. Certified Applicator Requirement
Certain systems, including microcement, are designed to be installed by trained professionals. We strongly recommend installation by Certified Applicators. We may decline support or warranty where systems are not installed correctly, and we are not responsible for outcomes resulting from incorrect application.
4. Orders & Payments
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Prices are in NZD and exclude GST unless stated otherwise. Payment terms must be met prior to dispatch unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order and update pricing at any time.
5. Shipping & Delivery
Delivery timeframes are estimates only. We are not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers. Risk transfers to the customer upon dispatch. Customers must ensure safe and appropriate handling upon receipt.
6. Returns & Damages
Due to the nature of our products, returns are not accepted for change of mind. Claims for damaged or incorrect goods must be made within 48 hours of delivery. Products must be inspected immediately upon receipt.
7. Warranty
Product warranties apply only where installation is completed in accordance with our system specifications, approved products and processes are used, and maintenance guidelines are followed. Warranty does not cover incorrect installation or misuse, substrate movement or failure, or normal wear and tear. Where applicable, warranty declarations must be submitted within 14 days of project completion.
8. Technical Information & Advice
All technical information, guidance, and recommendations are provided in good faith. However, site conditions, substrates, and environmental factors vary, and application techniques and workmanship are outside our control. We accept no liability for outcomes where our systems are not followed correctly.
9. Training Courses & Certification
9.1 Booking & Payment
Training places are limited and must be confirmed with full payment unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to accept or decline any booking.
9.2 Cancellation Policy
Due to the limited nature of our training programmes:
More than 14 days prior to course start date → Full refund or transfer to a future course
7–14 days prior to course start date → 50% refund or transfer to a future course
Less than 7 days prior to course start date → No refund or transfer
9.3 Transfers
Bookings may be transferred to another person within the same business, subject to approval. Transfers to future courses must be used within twelve months of the original booking.
9.4 Failure to Attend
Failure to attend without notice will be treated as a late cancellation. No refund or transfer will be provided.
9.5 Changes by The Finish
We reserve the right to reschedule training courses and modify course content, instructors, or location. If a course is cancelled by us, a full refund or alternative date will be offered. We are not responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred.
9.6 Course Suitability
Some courses are invite-only or region-specific. We reserve the right to decline participation where a course is not suitable.
9.7 Certification
Certification is issued at our discretion. Completion of a course does not guarantee certification or ongoing approval. Certification does not guarantee project referrals or exclusivity.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including images, text, branding, and product information, is owned by or licensed to The Finish. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without prior written consent.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Finish shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, installation errors or workmanship, or project delays or associated costs. Our liability is limited to the value of the products supplied.

This website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or services.
13. Website Use
You agree not to use this website for unlawful purposes, attempt to interfere with website functionality, or misuse content or intellectual property.
