Sutcliffe Graham – Tauranga
A refined commercial interior and exterior where texture and materiality create a cohesive architectural language.
Designed by Designwell, the Sutcliffe Graham office in Tauranga features two distinct Novacolor finishes, selected to bring depth and character to both the interior and exterior of the building.
Within the reception area, Novacolor Calce Cruda introduces a soft, tactile quality to the walls. This lime-based decorative plaster is applied entirely by hand, creating natural tonal variation and subtle movement across the surface. The result is a warm, textural backdrop that gives the reception space depth without overwhelming the architecture.
Externally, Concrete by Novacolor was selected to create a contemporary concrete-inspired façade. The decorative exterior system delivers the raw character of concrete through a hand-applied finish, carrying the project's considered material palette from inside to out.
Together, the two finishes demonstrate the versatility of architectural plaster across very different applications - from the refined texture of an interior reception space to the stronger material expression of a commercial exterior.
