Russell McVeagh Offices – Wellington

Over 600 square metres of hand-applied Venetian plaster brings material depth and continuity to the Russell McVeagh offices in Wellington.

Designed and delivered by Unispace, the workplace is defined by fluid architectural lines, considered detailing and a restrained material palette. Novacolor Marmorino KS was specified extensively throughout the interior, creating a continuous mineral finish that works naturally with the architecture.

Applied in MKS 15134, the fine-grain Venetian plaster introduces subtle movement and tonal variation across the walls. Rather than a completely uniform painted surface, the hand-applied finish responds gently to changing light, giving the expansive interior a sense of depth and materiality.

At more than 600m², the project also demonstrates how Venetian plaster can be used beyond individual feature walls, becoming a defining material across a large-scale commercial interior.

The result is a refined and cohesive workplace where the finish feels integral to the architecture rather than applied as an afterthought.
